Fremont Community Church (FCC) and Crossings Church in Burlingame have partnered for a short term missions trip to the Philippines lead by Pastor Henry Abuda to work with a international missionary organization called the Navigators. (http://www.navigators.org/us/) The Navigators are an established missionary group in the Philippines and have various outreaches including, working with the poor and homeless, leading bible studies, teaching preschool, and teaching english. The mission team from the two churches will assist the Navigators with ongoing ministries in the Philippines in metro Manila and Los Banos. The group will leave June 25 and arrive in Manila on June 26. The team will be in the country for 2 weeks leaving the 8th of July. The team is made up of 14 members and includes people of all ages and various ethnicities. The team has been raising funds and collecting various items for the trip in hopes of bringing material and spiritual gifts to those they work with while overseas.
A joint praise and worship night was held at Crossings church on May 10th which included the Crossings dance praise team and the worship team, Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Fremonts worship team, Kish Abuda, the Korean church worship team, testimonies from various Crossing church members, and prayer and oversight by Pastor Cesear of Crossings church. The mission team was very thankful for the event, which raised $1600 for the trip.
